Christmas 2007

Again, the girls were well and truely spoilt by Santa and the family. The morning started at the girls house, where Santa had left behind a brand new bike for Brooke - which has NO training wheels and is really big.

Then we went to Pa and Grandma's house where all of the 7 grandkids went into a frenzy pulling the wrapping off all the presents. It was too hard to keep up with who was getting what and from where.

Brooke's First Tooth

Brooke's first tooth fell out today. She is fairly confident that the tooth fairy lets you keep the first one, but still leaves you the money.

Picnic Day

The girls went to another picnic outing today and got up to all their old favourties. Fairy floss, hotdogs, ice creams and softdrinks and lots of rides. The girls got to see santa and he had a present for each of them.

They had a wonderful day, Brooke called it the best one yet. CJ drove the bumper cars all by herself - big girl.

Halloween

The girls were very upset that Dad would not let them out trick or treating this year. When asked, Brooke knew that Halloween was all about getting lollies. Still, we went to the shops and bought a huge pumpkin and made a jack-o-laten which seemed to please the girls... a little.

The Old Ute

After a sleep over at Nana and Grandad's house, Dad took the girls to the Duck park today for a ride on their bikes, taking Pa's old ute to carry all the bikes. On the way home the girls were complaining about how there was no airconditioning etc and Dad started to list the things he liked about it, ending with “……..and it only has a AM radio”

Quick as a flash, Courtney asks “Does that mean you can only use it in the morning?”

Surf's Up

Today Dad bought himself a bike so he can keep up with the girls. Brooke has recently spied a new bicycle that she would like however it does not come with training wheels so before she can upgrade, she has to learn how to ride - therefore a lot more riding is required. She is trying really hard, today we went about 4kms, her tiny little legs beating away.

In the afternoon we went to the movies to watch Surf's Up before heading over to Nana and Grandad's for dinner.

Pending Edit and Photo

Busselton Well me and Brooke went to Busselton with Nana and Gandad! We went to all sors of pases. I got to go no a staieg. I wos a rasterbowt. Brooke liked the fams! I liked when the Butterfly flyed on my bag!

The girls went to a place where they heated glass up to make paper weights and star fish, ate fish-n-chips at a lovely restaurant.

Earrings

Brooke saw lots of earring in Busselton but Nana wouldn’t let her have her ears piecerd, wanting to wait for Mum’s approval. On the following Saturday Mum took Brooke to the chemist and there were lots and lots of pretty earrings, so Brooke chose a pink pair and she had her ears pierced. She was very brave and did not cry at all.

The Perth Royal Show

Mum and the girls went to the Perth Royal Show with Big Brooke, Emily and their families. The girls enjoyed the spinning cups ride and fishing with a magnet. Brooke bought the My Little Pony showbag and CJ got the Bratz Diamond bag.

Holidays begin

The girls holiday has started - again.

After going to Busselton last week with Nana and Grandad. The girls turned up for the last day of school to report in about their few days away. Did you know that sheep don't have top teeth, that ducks eat carrot and that when glass stretches when it is hot? All of these things the girls discovered.

Mum took the girls to the Perth Royal Show on Saturday - no doubt there will be a report on that very soon.

At the moment they are in Toodyay - camping over with Big Brooke and Emily from school.

The Girls Are On Holiday

The girls are out of town at the moment, on holidays with Nana and Grandad down South. We hope that they have a ball and bring back lots of great memories and photographs.

Before they left, Mum bought them a new suitcase and a hat each. Brooke chose (as you do) a pink cowgirl hat - she loves it!

A Big Week

I has been a really big week. First of all, Mum started a new job and the girls (make that everyone else)have had to juggle their time in order to get to and from school, swimming lessons etc.

On day two, Brooke announced that she was not happy with the new arrangements - claiming that she never got to see Mum any more.

But they must have spent some time together because Mum taught Brooke how to tie her shoe laces. As a reward, Dad took Brooke to the shoe shop to buy a new pair with laces... Brooke has a talent - she can spot the most expensive set of shoes in a room, from 100 paces.

Sunday was the first day of nice weather in a long time so Dad, Pa and the girls managed to get out of the house and down to the park for a play.

A visit to the foals

On the weekend the girls went to see foal that was only a few days old. Unfortunately the foal and its mother were in a very big paddock with a lot of other mares and their foals so the girls missed out on some really close contact.

Spring Has Sprung

Well Fathers Day was great. The girls had been very busy in the weeks leading up making various presents at school, home and Bunnings. Dad is now the proud owner of a couple of pencil cases, most floor mats, a coffee cup, a butterfly and some signs and photos – very spoilt.

Last week was the girls sports carnival. Brooke came second in one of her running races and Courtney came first – they are pretty happy about their efforts

Nana and Pa are both a little under the weather at the moment. One with a sore head, the other with a sore tooth. No doubt they’ll be back soon.

Last week Brooke’s class presented the school assembly and CJ received a Merit Certificate. Again, they were very proud of themselves.

The big news of the week is that Mum has a new job, so the girls will have to start helping out and getting their rooms sorted, getting themselves dressed earlier etc to help her get out of the door on time.

Curved Spine

Well Courtney's xrays are in. It appears that Dad has to start listening to CJ when she complains about her sore back... Needless to say, even the Chiro was a little taken back by the amount of curve in her spine.

No doubt about it - she is her mother's daughter.

Dad's been Lazy

Well Dad has been a bit lazy of late and obviously there have been very little in updates. News is Courtney has to go and have some xrays on her spine today, nothing serious, the Chiropractor just wants to get the full picutre.

On the weekend, CJ forgot to ride around the barriers at the end of a laneway. Her bike went underneath the barrier, her chest hit it, leaving her sitting on her backside - No serious physical harm done.

This week both the girls got a chance to show Mum and Dad around their classroom, showing off all the work they have completed this year. Both the girls are very proud of their efforts.

Dad went to Courtney's school yesterday to talk to all the kids - Scary.

School's back

Brooke is a little concened that Mum is going to send her to high school one day. That might explain why she refused to go to sleep tonight.

She is going to be tired tomorrow.

Cold, Wet and Windy

This weekend has been a fairly normal couple of days, considering that it is winter. The girls have fallen into a routine of going to Volleyball with Mum on a Friday night, soley because the creche is a kids gym, right across the road - They practically get the place to themselves. The girls like Volleyball.

On Saturday, they both went to Chelsea's birthday party and Brooke won musical bobs, which was surprising considering she is normally the first one out, not paying attention.

Saturday night Dad bribed the girls into sleeping over with a movie night. Today we made pencil boxes at Bunnings and the girls played with "beadies", little plastic beads that stick together when wet with water.

School goes back on Tuesday. It's been a pretty good school holiday albeit cold.

School Holidays

The girls have been on school holidays for the last couple of weeks. Aside from having had play dates with their friends from school, they caught up with the Mundy’s at Wild Kidz where Brooke got to drive the go karts for the very first time. There has been lots of visits to the park and hours of play in the back yard.

Yesterday they went to see the Fairies with Mum, which they thought was great.

Wet, Wild and Windy

Today the weather is shocking. Dad promised the girls that he would take them to a kids gym. We went to two different ones, ran through the rain each time only to find out that they were both full. Seems everyone else in Perth had come up with the same idea.

Still the day was not all lost - We made cubby houses in the bedroom.

Weekend gone

Another weekend gone. On Saturday the girls went to Josh's 4th birthday party. It was a pirate party and Brooke was pretty keen on being a pirate "wench". The girls had a great time and were pretty worn out by days end. They were amazed to find a bouncy castle set up in the back yard.

On Sunday it was cold and rainy so the girls stayed in for most of the day, they cuddled up on the couch and CJ read her sister a book.
