South Beach Fremantle

Brooke joined Dad and Louise today on a trip to South Beach Fremantle where Louise's friends had their standup paddle boards on the water. It was a lovely summers morning. We were on the dog beach and Brooke would have been happy if she was allowed to take every dog home.

Christmas Day

This year the girls woke at Dad's house on Christmas Day. We unwrapped presents and then prepared for everyone coming over for lunch.

Dad's Birthday Dinner

Louise and the girls (with a fair bit of help and misdirection) took Dad out for a birthdy dinner at Matilda Bay.

It's become a tradition for thecranegirls, Louise and Dad to select a real tree for Christmas. This year Courtney made a video about Theresa (the first year we've named the tree) and how she came to be a part of our christmisty.

Today Brooke went to see an optometrist to have her eyes checked. She is needing some reading glasses so we had a little fun trying on a lot of frames.

Final Day in Kauai

Today was thecranegirls' final day on Kauai and they only have 24 hours left on the Hawaiian islands. This afternoon they returned to Oahu with Grandma and Pa for a stop over before fyling home tomorrow morning,

Before their flight we all went to Waimea Falls, a very pretty waterfall feature.

It's fair to say that the girls have both been a little home sick for the last few days and they are keen to get home to Mum, the cats and/or their friends.

Another early morning rise and rush around to get to the airport for an island hop to Kauai.

A highlight of the morning was breakfast, with the girls trying out pancakes with maple syrup and bacon.

The girls are settling into life in Waikiki. Yesterday we went to the Ala Moana Boulevard shopping centre for a wander around before the girls and Dad managed to take in some American Football games at the Mai Tai Bar.












Unfortunately, Louise has taken ill. The only upside was the girls were moved from a shared room into their own space.

Today we went to Pearl Harbour with Pa. We went through the Bowfin submarine and all over the Battleship Missouri before the Pacific Aviation Museum. It was a long day of history, but well worth it.

We're Off to Hawaii

Today was the start of thecranegirls trip to Hawaii for Dad and Louis's wedding and a holiday. 

High spirits and excitement quickly got dented by the 10 hour over night flight from Sydney to Honolulu

Netball

Unfortunately the Flames went out of the netball season just like Brooke's team last year. A draw at the end of regular time and the girls were just out of luck in extra time. It's been a great season for Brooke.
