Marble Cup Cakes

Courtney and Jasmine spent this afternoon in the kitchen making marble cup cakes for the birthday bash tomorrow.

Busselton

Today is the last day of term one. This weekend thecranegirls are off to Busselton for a weekend of relaxing with Nana and Grandad.

Big Weekend

This weekend was very busy. Brooke had her netball wind up and Grandma returned from a couple of weeks in Queensland. On Saturday night Courtney and Louise went to see the West Australia Symphony Orchestra and Sunday was spent making nori rolls (no nori on Brooke's) and choosing paint colours for the walls at Dad and Louise's house.

Tomorrow Mum is off to Bali for the week and thecranegirls are staying at Nana and Grandad's house.

End of Netball Season

Today is the last game of the netball season for Brooke.  The girls had a good time and won the game. After that, they went for a team lunch at Sizzler.

So Brooke is now 12 and she got some great presents including a great pair of Pokemon shoes, hand painted by Amanda.

Brooke's Birthday Bonanza - Day 2

Brooke has taken on the idea of having a week long birthday celebration with lots of dinners with the family - and opening presents on most days. 

Tonight she went to out to dinner and then back to Grandma and Pa's house for some birthday cake. Brooke was really happy to receive a bright yellow Poke'mon onesie which we're sure will be getting worn a lot over the next few months.

Sculptures By The Sea

Today Courtney, Dad and Louise sprung Lilly from boarding school and we went to Sculptures by the Sea at Cottesloe before heading home to share some favourite guitar songs.

We think the best sculpture was the one made out of hundreds of Barbie Dolls

Tonight Courtney left Scouts and linked to the Venturers.

Haircuts for School

Skyshow 2014

Tonight we took advantage of the scaffold around the construction site at Dad and Louise's house and watched the Skyshow from the suburbs.  As it turned out we got to watch the fire works in Midland as well. 

It was fun.  Even a little 'drunken giraffe' dancing. 

Courtney's Axe

Courtney has a fancy dress party coming up soon so she has turned a ukelele into an "axe" - it looks awesome. 

Lord of the Rings Marathon

Courtney and  number of her friends had never seen the Lord of the Rings movies. Her friend, Kiersten thought they were missing out so they held a marathon to watch as much as they could in one day.

Merry Christmas 2013

The girls had another wonderful Christmas Day. Unfortunately their morning started with Enzo bringing Tiger a Christmas presents of sorts. Luckily Brooke is not to scared of mice and was able to save the little critters life.

There were lots of presents to be unwrapped.  Santa bought CJ a wonderful new ukelele and Brooke a back lit whiteboard. They both received a lot of art equipment so we can expect to see lots of drawing and water colours over the school holidays.

Courtney received an early Christmas gift from the Dawes and they are pretty fantastic!!

Symphony in the City

This evenging thecranegirls went with Dad and Louise to the Symphony in the City. We took a picnic dinner and then just after sun down the Western Australia Symphony Orchestra played for about 90 minutes.

The girls liked the music but it may be a long time before they are classical music fanatics. They liked the picnic and ice cream just as much, if not more.

Netball

Today was the last game of the netball season for Brooke. It was the best game yet, ending in a draw but both teams played a wonderful game.
