Easter 2005

The girls woke up at about 7:30am on Easter Sunday. That seemed like a fairly decent hour. After a hot cross bun breakfast we went on a egg hunt at Mum's house and the girls got to eat their fair share of chocolate for one day.

After lunch the girls went to another indoor playground. More soon

After they both had a big sleep, the girls got dressed into their pretty clothes and heading out to dinner for Uncle Brad's birthday.

Restless

The girls have only been asleep for a couple of hours. They are very excited about the Easter Bunny coming... We have left out a carrot and a glass of water for him/her. Courtney tells me, whilst holding her forehead, that "the Easter bunny is in the front of my head"... perhaps this is where she 'feels' excitement, or maybe she has just muddled up a saying...
Still, now they are sound asleep. Time for parents to eat half a carrot and head to bed as well.

Six Months On

thecranegirls is now over six months old... amazing.

Over the weekend, the girls were ask what their oldest memories were. It'll be interesting to see how they change over time.

Brooke turns Three

Today was Brooke's third birthday and she was over the moon that she was bigger today than she was yesterday. In the morning the girls went and had a portrait photograph taken, as always they acted like professionals in front of the camera.
Brooke got her first bicycle (although it has training wheels), she'll still getting used to the bigger bike.
This afternoon was a small birthday party at Mum's house. Take a look at some of the photos on the other page

Caitlin's Birthday

This afternoon, the girls went to Caitlin's First Birthday Party. A good time was had by everyone, especially Caitlin. Even though she couldn't keep up with the rest of the kids, she had a great time watching them zipping around.

The fairy is coming

Courtney has her first loose tooth, courtesy of a chuppa chup lollipop. Today Courtney bit into a chup chup and then started crying, complaining that she had a sore tooth. Later in the afternoon she told Mum that her tooth was still sore and when Mum had a look (and feel) it wobbled. Courtney is very excited. However she'll be disappointed... someone told her that the tooth fairy leaves $100.00 for each tooth. We've told her that it's a strictly coin only thing... notes don't go well in water.
In other news, the first (of the two remaining) carrots were picked this weekend and we're all getting ready for Brooke's birthday this week.

Training Wheels

Courtney thinks she is ready. Today one of the training wheel on her bike got raised so now she has to think about balance when riding. Balance it seems take a lot of concentration because now she has forgotten that her bike has brakes. She looks like she is riding a rodeo bull instead of a bike, leaning sideways and backwards to avoid to oncoming obstacles.

In their own words.

Dad asked the girls today if they had anything that they wanted typed out on their site.
Courntey dictated;
"In two weeks Pa and Grandma will becoming down. We have been cleaning up the garden for Pa. We have been doing very good work. Pa and Grandma will be coming down soon to see the garden.2005. X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0X0.
Before you go Pa and Grandma, could you say goodbye to Uncle Scott, Aunty Tarita, Uncle Gava, Aunty Jodie, Cameron and James and Marcus. And don't forget Pa to water your plants before you go. I remember when Grandma and Pa told me, when I was a little kid, I used to say Hamma, where's the Pa? That was funny. When I was born, and Pa and Grandma took me to their house for the first time, I went waaaa and Pa said Hello little miss perfect"
Brooke said "I want my pony. Grandma and Pa like me"
